June 24, 2001

Even though it rained on Thursday, some of you still came to the meeting at Quincy Park, and some even used the grill I brought. So thanks to all that showed up!

Habitat for Humanity is this Wednesday, June 27th from 5pm to 8 pm. The plans are to work on the house that we helped with earlier this year, laying block and setting the corners. So far, we have Brian, Steve, Scott, Chris, and Emily. We can always use more, so let Emily know if you will be able to come at ebyrer@hicksoutdoor.com. I'm not sure the address, but either Emily will let us know, or you can call the Habitat Phone at (304) 422-7907 (if no one is there, the phone machine will inform you of where the house is).

The Noah's Arc Thrift Shop clean-ups will be going on all summer. Saturdays at 2pm and Monday's from 4pm to 7pm, 628 W. Virginia Avenue (just off Murdoch). However, we are planning a function on July 2nd, from 4pm or 5pm to 7pm, for our group to go "as a whole". So, let Chris know if you will be there [csw112@earthlink.net].

Another July function will be to pick up trash on our Adopt-A-Highway section during the last weekend, July 28th. Please let Chris know if you can make it or not. With enough people, we usually knock this out in under two hours, usually closer to an hour-and-a-half.
