PHS science teacher Fred Doak has called to request four judges for the PHS science fair on Thursday, January 9. He said that there were not many entries this year, and judging would take only about an hour.  He suggested that judges plan for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., just to be sure. Today is the last day of school before the holidays, so he'd like to know on January 2 if we have four people. Please let Dawn Jackson (, or 863-2513) know before the end of the year if you can help, and she'll send your names to him.

A variety of volunteer activities exist that can fit into your schedule. To get connected to service, register your service needs, or to offer donated goods, please call Sandy Tharp at the Volunteer Action Center at 424-3457 Ext. 111.

WOMEN NEEDED TO HELP WITH CONSTRUCTION:  Volunteer to help put the finishing touches on a home for a deserving family on Saturday, December 28 from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Skilled and unskilled workers are welcome; come and work part or all of the day.
