*Adopt A Highway - March 16, 2002 - 10 am at the Local Motives sign in Vienna. Let me know if you can be there.

*Bike Rodeo - May 2nd, St. Joseph's Hospital - distribute and fit 300+ bike helmets to needy kids to prevent brain injuries. will need volunteers.

*Cycle for CF - May 2nd , North Bend State Park - bike race to raise money for cystic fibrosis - http://www.cycle-for-cf.com/

*Actor's Guild production of "1776" - will need ushers for 3 weekends, beginning April 12. To sign up contact Michael at gowestvirginia@yahoo.com

New Business:

*We have the dunking booth and a camp site reserved for Relay for Life. Emily will contact local radio station DJs to be celebrity dunk-ees, or professional "barkers". We're looking for suggestions for other celebrity recruits. let me know your ideas! we'll sell chances at $1/3 pitches.

* Steve will contact relay for life to ask about permission to also have a ring toss and a balloon pop stand at our site.

*We have decided to purchase candy bars to sell as a fund raiser for Relay for Life, with Baker's Dozen sharing in the order.

*It's soon Garden time again - Steve has contacted Jefferson Elementary and we'll begin with a work party both there and at our city park gardens between now and Relay for Life.

*A meeting will be held in May for volunteers with the summer reading program at the Parkersburg Library. This summer's theme will be "down at the farm" and help will be needed in leading the groups that will be held twice/week june - august for kids up to 17 yrs old. Help will also be needed with building sets for skits, etc. Will let you know more after the meeting in may!!!

* a new habitat for humanity house is being started next week at 10th and Lenore streets on the south side in parkersburg. contact habitat for humanity to set your own work hours, and watch for a group work day with local motives in the near future.
